Senator (Ron Wyden) seeks benefits for Iraq vets suing KBR
Source: Army Times/AP

PORTLAND, Ore. — Sen. Ron Wyden said Thursday that nearly 300 guardsmen from Oregon and other states need better health care benefits after they were exposed to a toxic chemical in Iraq.

Wyden, D-Ore., said he wants to expand veterans care legislation now being considered in the Senate.

The guardsmen say they were exposed to hexavalent chromium while protecting civilian employees of or KBR, a subsidiary of Halliburton, in Iraq in 2003.

They have sued the Halliburton subsidiary, claiming KBR knew the risks but downplayed them or covered them up.

1. Make this happen, Senators.
Haliburton is EVIL, but even if it were not, our veterans should have health care.

4. thanks to Sen.Wyden
& to Sabra, for the posting.

Funny, when I write to my senators about these issues,
I always get kay bailey's replies
that totally disregard MY opinion, concerns & FACTUAL information,
& she somehow skews her message to the rw party-line talking points.
cornyn, no replies whatsoever.
not really a "support the Troops & Veterans" platform, if Y'ask ME.
Hypocrites.
I will contact OTHER Senators,
regardless of party,
despite my not being their constituent,
& enCourage them to support Wyden's initiative.

Bring 'em HOME,NOW, & CARE for Them!
