Two killed while planting bomb under northern Iraq bridge
Two people were killed while trying to plant a bomb under a bridge over the Zab river near the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Thursday, police said.

"The bodies of two people wearing traditional Arabic clothes and explosive charges were found at the scene," police officer Karim Ali Jabburi said.

"The bodies are mutilated, so it is difficult to identify them," he said.

It looks like the insurgents are scraping the bottom of the barrel to hire morons to play with their firecrackers. Let's hope more of these morons continue to self-destruct without harming innocents.

4. Insulting them won't make them self-destruct
It is too bad that Bush and his band of liars created this mess.

7. I understand the sentiment
It was the same thing said in the Vietnam times. (gulp, I'm old enough to watched that all unfold)

Oddly enough, the carnage did not stop until they ran us out. It is now a peaceful and fairly prosperous country, without our help, and in spite of millions of tons of bombs and chemical defoliant agents we spewed across their land.

The idea that only the U.S. (or a coalition of western nations) can bring "stability" to Iraq is an administration talking point, and (unfortunately) also a Kerry talking point, but it appears to me to be rooted in guilt (for having blown their country apart) and a kind of noblesse oblige that I don't think the arabs are too keen on.

Anyway, my thoughts on it
