Rumsfeld to 'pull no punches' in new book
Source: CNN

(CNN) – Don Rumsfeld's long-anticipated memoir will be released in January, and the former defense secretary isn't going to pull any punches, his publisher said Monday.

The upcoming book – "Known and Unknown" – will hit book stores January 25 and "is filled with previously undisclosed details and insights about the Bush administration, 9/11, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq," according to the book's publisher, Sentinel, a division of Penguin.

The book's title harkens to his infamous 2002 quote explaining there were "known unknowns" and "unknown unknowns" when it came to the war in Iraq – a word jumble that Rumsfeld critics found emblematic of his inartful leadership.

And if there is any doubt Rumsfeld will reveal new details, the former defense secretary is planning to launch a website to coincide with the books publication that will feature previously undisclosed documents.

"It's both a fascinating narrative for today's readers and an unprecedented resource for tomorrow's historians, said Sentinel president and publisher Adrian Zackheim The manuscript delivers everything I was hoping for and much more."

27. Yep. He managed ONE book signing in Dublin before he had to cancel the tour
He even had to cancel the launch party at the Tate Modern.

If they were organized creatively, protests against this crime novel could just as successful.

Maybe someone in the States could use this as an inspiration? http://www.arrestblair.org/

But Bill or no Bill, Rumfeld will NOT get away with this sh!t, if I have to sign people up myself in every damn possible venue. :hi:

The fact that one of the most sickening warmongers to emerge from our
political landscape--is profiting from his crimes--is revolting.

I still remember how he became indignant when a reporter questioned how many
Iraqis had been killed during "Shock and Awe." He began describing the "care"
that was taken in releasing those bombs.

We did it with such "care." And he was pissed when he said it, as Iraqis lie
dead and moaning all around him. How dare anyone question their murdering!

This is a chapter of American history that I know I'd like to forget. Do we
really have to hear about it in great detail from this coward--who is going
to lie, spin and but a cowboy face on this despicable stain on our country's
history?

Three hundred pages of glorifying his shameful decisions. ...And I'm sure the
idiot contingent that loves that sort of thing has all ready ordered their
advanced copies from amazon.

Gag.

16. re: Rummy should explain in his new book, why they did not stop the attacks on 9/11
Maybe just maybe Rumsfeld can explain why when the Bush administration knew about the al Qaeda terrorist attacks on 9/11, even knew that an al Qaeda terrorist had been arrested while trying to get training on a B747, and also knew that two long time al Qaeda terrorists, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, were inside of the US on August 22, 2001, and even knew they were here in order to take part in a horrific al Qaeda terrorist attack that would kill thousands of Americans that even Rummy had been given warnings about, they did absolutely nothing to prevent this attack.

Maybe Rummy can explain that is his new book, but I have my doubts!

Perhaps because everybody already KNEW Saddam didn't have any WMD and Iraq was no threat. How about that "known"?

His language was so nutty and weird, you could make fun of it!

Are they kidding? Only in GOP land would someone use one of the most absurd and lame excuses for the deadly and ruinous fiasco they created as a selling point.

Thanks for reminding everyone with a brain the Rummy is a sociopathic nut case. Good work!
