Feds Sue Fox News Over Reporter Catherine Herridge's Charges Of Discrimination, Retaliation
Source: Huffington Post

WASHINGTON — Federal authorities are suing the Fox News Network for allegedly retaliating against a reporter after she complained about unequal pay and job conditions based on her gender and age.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says Fox News Channel reporter Catherine Herridge filed an internal complaint about allegedly discriminatory practices in 2007.

Fox found no evidence of bias, but the EEOC says the network later included language in Herridge's employment contract intended to stop her from making any more complaints.

Herridge refused to sign the contract. The network agreed to remove the language after she complained to the EEOC.

1. Good!
Now, not only does she not have to work there, but she gets to make them squirm.

5. She still works there.
Frequently doing the "Homeland Security" beat. I've seen her on air very recently on Megyn Kelly's "America Live" (which has gone downhill, by the way; sadly Kelly's descended into the worst Republican hackery) and with Shep Smith. Seems Herridge is toughing it out, and I respect that: her efforts might make Fox a somewhat more decent place to work generally and for women in particular, although I'd have also understood if she'd decided to pack up and go somewhere else.

Am I suppose to feel sorry for her? She worked at fox news. She should have expected it.

If she's a peon, then OK, I feel sorry.

If she's a contributor, then it's poetic Justice.
