Blackwater Subsidiary Flouted German Arms Export Laws
Source: Speigel

A subsidiary of the US private security firm Blackwater flouted German arms export law, the US diplomatic cables have revealed. The company, Presidential Airways, didn't want to wait to get the proper export permit, so it simply transported the aircraft to Afghanistan via third countries.

The controversial US private security firm Blackwater, which is now known as Xe Services, has mainly been criticized in the past over the use of excessive force in Iraq. Confidential American diplomatic dispatches now show that another company belonging to Blackwater founder Erik Prince exported German military helicopters to Afghanistan with scant regard for German law.

Presidential Airways purchased three SA-330 J "Puma" helicopters in Germany for use in providing logistical support to US forces in Afghanistan. But because it was taking too long to get the necessary German export permit, and its employees didn't want to wait, they simply took the helicopters out of the country in October 2008, first to Britain, and then on to Turkey.

1. They are a power unto themselves
Prince is a Navy Seal and what I learned while in the Navy is if you really want to do it, do it anyway then ask for permission later, if none is given no skin off your ass because you'd already gotten away with it or you were caught and it didn't matter anymore anyway, you were had. In other words he is ballsy. That part of his training took.
I only got caught a couple times too :-) Of course I wasn't into shit like they are though

In other words, The blackwater Subsidary STOLE property owned by others, becouse it took to long to get a LEGAL EXPORT PERMIT...

In other worlds, A Blackwater Subsidary STOLE property not in its posession, to send ut to other parts of the world, do they ever paid for it at all?...

In other words, americans can do as they want, where they want, as long as they have the "support" of the US government. Nice tutch I would say...

It is difference between doing some mishiefs in the army or navy, when you are in the service.. A whole other difference when you have are stealing a helicopter worth a couple of million US dollar... A Puma Helicopter are not just a handtool or two.. Specially when they not even OWN the copter yet...

I hope that german officals now are doing their best, to prosecute the gulity ones, who stole the coptes, and if posible also make some officals in Xe vorried about coming to germany.. Or be sendt to german law enforcement (relax, they are prooes, and not like gestapo of the 1930s, and they tend to be strictly lawbidding)
