"In terms of looking at recent years, 1998 was the most anomalous - the remaining top 10 warmest years in the series have all occurred since 2000."



Professor James Crabbe from the UK's University of Bedfordshire said high temperatures in the oceans had done severe damage to coral reefs.

"Coral bleaching has been observed in every ocean and major sea in which coral occurs, from the Persian Gulf to southeast Asia, the Central Pacific to the Caribbean - only the second time this has happened, the first being 1998," he said.

"This has serious implications for the many populations - about one billion people - who live near coral reefs and rely on them for their livelihoods and nutrition."

and presumably now will all be shut down by GOP --

However, one scientist was noting that we now have 2 hot days for every 1 cold day --

and that by 2050, we will have 21 hot days for every 1 cold day -- !!!

Where does that leave us by 2025 -- ????

10 hot days for every 1 cold day -- ????


Also keep in mind that it was GOP rw propagandist Frank Luntz who told Bush to move

from "Global Warming" to the euphemism for it ... climate change.

Global Warming makes clear that what we have done is HEAT up the environment which

causes chaotic weather conditions --

7. Seems Americans aren't the only ones being betrayed ....

As of the end of October, according to NASA, 2010 has been the hottest year in modern records. It’s also seen the second largest number of Atlantic hurricanes, the warming of Lake Superior by 8 degrees, and the worst drought in 100 years in the Amazon. But that has been overshadowed by the Asian catastrophes.


I'm amazed that NASA is saying anything at all -- Reagan tried to limit their activities in

regard to environment/ozone -- and W completely changed their mission, taking them out of

the business of watching over the planet. All to their credit for still trying to inform

the public.
