Senate deal on competing tax votes collapses
Source: Reuters

(Reuters) - A bipartisan deal to vote on dueling tax packages fell apart late on Thursday and the Democratic Senate leader will instead set votes on his party's plans to extend only some Bush-era tax cuts, an aide said.

1. Good. Make a little effort to fight for the little guy...PRETEND that you are in the majority here
I am sick to death of "bipartisanship" and "compromise"

It ALWAYS means that the repukes get what they want....PERIOD. END OF STORY.

2. Not always ... all they want.
Of course, they continue to obstruct like the bastards they are ... but the list of accomplishments over the past two years is indisputable. Virutally every single one was won over lock-step Repuglican opposition. So...they don't always get what they want. They wanted NO stimulus, NO health care reform, NO financial reform, etc.
