Tea Party group says Palin should lead GOP
Source: USA Today

A Tea Party group wants Sarah Palin to lead the Republican National Committee.

A leader of Tea Party Nation says the former GOP vice presidential nominee needs to take the place of embattled chairman Michael Steele or else the RNC will be led by "the establishment," which would then lead to the re-election of President Obama in 2012.

"We need someone who will put conservatives in control of the party apparatus, not RINOs," writes Judson Phillips in a letter to Palin.

The letter was first reported by the liberal website Talking Points Memo.

27. VOTE?? VOTE
Nope--- Many are going to sit the next one out. There is little difference apparent,---- between Barack the appeaser and Palin the knuckle dragging nut job

Actually the Chimp was more fun

At least he acknowledged that Cheney and CO. were pulling his strings.

2. Sarah would want no part of that because she would have to do work
Mayor of Wasilla she quit because she hired a city manger w/ in 18 months
The Alaska Oil & Gas Commission she quit because it required real work
Governor of Alaska .... you know the story

6. she did hire a city manager (first one every for Wasilla) but I do believe
she did finish her term as mayor.....with the city manager doing all the work.....she was more like the Queen of England then....a figure head for offical events/photo ops. All this was because she was too incompetent for her job.

18. well Wasilla did have a population of 5000 so they needed a city manager

But when she was Mayor the City had about 5,000 people and she put the town $20 million in debt
building a hockey rink for her son Track (who had to leave for his senior yr. in high school to avoid
criminal charges) and at the same time she and TAWD got a new house built on lake w/ the material
charges going to the building of Wasilla's sport's complex. She is a fake and a grifter.

the house "Todd and his Buddies" built on weekends but the materials got billed to Sarah's hockey rink

BTW freepers and "looking in people" please check out my story

24. oh, please, understand, I'm in NO WAY defending her.
she is a complete and utter loser/grifter but I was just trying to clarify she did hire a city manager (which I agree, she never should have needed if she were even a little competent in the office), but she did also actually finish her term - which is probably what led to her decision to quit the Governership....I mean really, she'd already completed the term of one job and it was boring to finish the WHOLE term.....it wouldn't have been so bad if it were a shorter run, I'll just quit early next time....after I get to have all the fun without any of the work involved.

22. She didn't hire the city mgr so she could quit
She hired the city manager because she was going to get recalled if she didn't.

7. The GOP might go along with this.
They do not want her running for Pres and this would take her out of the race and keep her raising money for them, exactly where they want her.

10. This might be even better for us than if she were the GOP nominee
You know she wouldn't stay in the background and let the nominee shine. Long before the election and long after it, she'd be the embarrassing face of the Republican Party.

11. Please, PLEASE, God . . .
Let the Republicans nominate Sarah Palin in 2012. With a worthless and weak President Obama in the White House, it is the ONLY chance Democrats have.

13. RINOs welcome
Edited on Mon Dec-06-10 02:10 PM by Roy Rolling
When the radical wingnut faction of the Republicans cannibalizes its own ranks of the only ones with any sense, Republican moderates will turn on their former party with a vengence. So get ready to welcome a few moderate Republicans who would rather associate with progressives than reactionary wing nuts that want to turn the clock back to the dark ages. Moderate conservatives like Bill Buckley had some good ideas. They were true fiscal conservatives and would never have supported the current batch of "Republican fiscal conservatives in name only" who have executed a coup in the Republican ranks and are preparing to execute the remaining moderates.

scores out there. Scary.
