BBCA newborn baby stolen from a hospital on the outskirts of the western German city of Frankfurt-on-Main has been found safe after a major search.
The baby had been stolen from the Hoechst hospital, reportedly by two women posing as staff.
They entered the mother's room at 1230 (1130 GMT) and took the infant, just six hours after her birth.
The baby was found in a house after a tip-off and two women have been arrested.
The baby girl has been identified by a nurse from the hospital and a midwife.
Police said they could not yet give a motive for the abduction.
Sniffer dogs and a police helicopter were used to search the area.
The baby, who was born healthy weighing about 3.2kg and had yet to be given her name, was taken away by the two women in a buggy, German newspapers said.
She was taken from the maternity ward on the hospital's fourth floor.
Germany's Bild newspaper reported that one of the women had introduced herself as a hospital employee.
"I'm the nurse," she reportedly told the mother. Saying she wanted to take a picture of the baby, she added: "I'll bring it right back."
The suspect was was said to about 30, 1.7m tall and "probably of foreign origin". The woman accompanying her was "very stout", about 1.65m tall and had blond hair.
The baby's parents, who are both Lebanese, were in shock after the abduction.
