Musharraf: Army 'May Intervene Over Pakistan's Decline'
Source: skynews

9:53am UK, Wednesday December 15, 2010

Alex Crawford, special correspondent
Pakistan's former president Pervez Musharraf has warned the army may have to intervene again in politics, if the country continues to decline.

He added Pakistan may be forced to take matters into their own hands - which could include working with the Taliban - if it continues to feel alienated by the rest of the world.

Mr Musharraf was speaking exclusively to Sky News from his new home in the United Arab Emirates, where he is in self-imposed exile.

"There is no bar against me going back to Pakistan. But the conditions have to be right," he said.

2. I wonder what influence he still has with the military.
He is threatening another coup and saying he will work with the taliban...Sounds like Obama's war is not sitting well with the Pakistani people.

3. Pakistan will not prosper until it gives up its military
which has a stranglehold on power because of harboring a dream of converting India into an Islamic republic. As soon as Pakistan admits that the "Two nation doctrine" has failed and India has won in every respect, gives up the military's pipe dreams and focuses on economic development and education for its people, Pakistan will do better.
