Associated PressBEIJING, China - An overseas Tibetan human rights group says it's concerned about the fate of three senior Buddhist monks missing since a 2008 crackdown on anti-government protests.
The U.S.-based International Campaign for Tibet says the three were believed to have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms and there is growing concern among Tibetans about their welfare. It says their whereabouts are unknown.
The three were all senior religious teachers at Drepung monastery in Lhasa, whose monks were at the forefront of the March 2008 protests that started out as peaceful marches before exploding into violence days later.
