Arizona state lawmaker attacked on Christmas
Source: CNN

On Christmas Day, State Rep. Frank Pratt went to check on his swimming pool store when he was confronted by a person already inside the building who "severely beat him, knocked him unconscious, and left him bound inside the building," police said in a statement.

The unidentified person stole Pratt's SUV and left the area.

The lawmaker was found by his wife more than four hours later, police said.

Janice Pratt said she initially went by the store after one hour, but left when she didn't see his truck. When she came back three hours later, she spotted an unlocked gate and heard him calling out for help, she said.

3. There is something wrong with that story
Edited on Sun Dec-26-10 10:30 PM by Monique1
Why would he go check on his business Christmas - Casa Grande is not Phoenix, second his wife went looking for him after an hour, than went back after four hours - that is strange. If my husband went to his business and was not home in and hour I would think he got involved in his work there - but an hour?
Something tells me there is something illegal with him or her. At the end she says he might no go to the legislature....... why? I smell a rat.

7. Yes, something doesn't quite add up here
It could have been that the person had tripped an alarm of some sort, but even then in most cases a business owner would not handle the situation himself, but send law enforcement in to check the property. Something isn't quite adding up for me here.

4. Didn't Arizona already have a failed.......
false report on beheadings and other misdeeds by illegals , you know
they will blame this on them, for political reasons for reform, if you read
on how they operate , this joker would be sleeping with the fishes.

5. I suspect he is involved in something immoral or illegal
Too many strange things in this case and I would guess it is trying to pin it on the "illegals" but really he was probably involved in a drug deal gone wrong, an extramartial affair gone wrong, but as written I would say it has more holes than swiss cheese.

Must be one of those "small government" republicans.

Being a republican, he probably slipped out on Baby Jesus' birthday to score some rough trade.

12. I don't see any information to suggest that.
Somebody could have been in the store not expecting him to come in because of the Holiday.
