Bill Clinton to campaign for Rahm Emanuel in Chicago
Source: USA Today

There's no shortage of Oval Office occupants who think Rahm Emanuel would make a great mayor of Chicago.

To start, there's President Obama, who virtually begged Emanuel to be White House chief of staff as his first personnel move after winning election in 2008.

When he announced Emanuel's resignation on Oct. 1, Obama said, "We are all very excited for Rahm as he takes on a new challenge for which he is extraordinarily well qualified."

Obama isn't expected to campaign for Emanuel, but another ex-boss, former president Bill Clinton, has committed to do so. Emanuel spokesman Ben LaBolt says Clinton will be in Chicago in January to endorse the man he first brought into the White House in 1993.

18. He was good enough to be trusted by President Obama to be CoS
If he can handle that job, he can certainly handle being Mayor of Chicago.

27. Clinton knows both Mosley Braun and Emanuel
Emanuel served as a senior adviser to him and he appointed Mosley Braun to serve as Ambassador to New Zealand after Illinois voters rejected her for a second term. I guess that he is more impressed with Emanuel.

29. So would Rahm best represent most Chicagoans...LOL?
I would NEVER ever vote for Rahm Emanuel. I don't trust him. I wouldn't buy a used 20 yo VW Jetta from him. He represents the stereotypical connected self / crony serving politician willing to redistribute the taxes of most to his political cronies. No thanks - he represents everything that is wrong with politics.

Does anyone in their wildest imagination believe Rahm Emanuel would expend any effort whatsoever contemplating how to best serve his constituents.   He's conniving right now how to rip off taxpayers and send their assets to Wall street and Goldman on the cheap.
