1. This could get really interesting...
The photo is fairly clear so it should not be too difficult for law enforcement to identify him. If there were multiple people involved in this and they find those people you can bet the political motivation is going to become much more clear.

2. We need to have a talk with the second guy. Did he drive the shooter to the mall?
Its been thought of before. Find the deranged to do your bidding. The Terrorists game plan from the start has been the recruiting of young crazies for suicide missions.

9. No, even the Freepers aren't wrong about everything.

For example, they don't like getting felt up at the airport.

15. This is a thread related to the shooting and a possible
second suspect, not the tsa. I don't know how they do it on Freeperville but here they categorize stuff.

6. If Loughner had an accomplice, that would falsify FAUX'/GOPs "lone wacko" argument
and make it an offical RW conspiracy

yup

14. "Lone wacko" arguments are unfalsifiable.
In America. No matter how much evidence there is to prove a conspiracy. OK City is a counter-example. But it's the only one I can think of.

7. Wasn't there a John Doe #3 in the OKC bombing?
I remember much chatter about him, and then all of a sudden talk of a John Doe #3 seemed to drop off the radar screen.

11. There was even more than that involving the OKC bombing.
Not only did Timothy McVeigh not act alone, investigators later discovered possible links to an entire group of right wing paramilitary conspirators.

The problem, beside the fact that McVeigh considered himself a good soldier who gave only name, rank, and serial number, was that Oklahoma was so anxious to execute him, they didn't get a chance to question him about it.

8. I'm sure police know more about him than we've heard.
Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 01:19 PM by JohnnyRingo
The suspected shooter probably hasn't even slept yet, still sitting in a chair while one investigator after another take turns questioning him and pelting him with repeat queries about his motives and connections. Unless he's had special forces training on interrogations (he hasn't), he probably cracked yesterday.

That and the info received through search warrants at the shooter's home, including emails and phone calls, is sure to make a positive ID on the second suspect. They just don't want to disclose what they know until they have him in custody.

The importance here, is this may no longer be a random hate crime, but an official conspiracy. Legally, that's some serious shit.

12. It's very hard to get our law enforcers to acknowledge a conspiracy.
Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 01:56 PM by Ruperto31
For some reason, they want to "keep it simple." So the guiding assumption is always "lone nut." Then you have to try to talk them out of it. This is an uphill battle.

13. 10 to 1 the old guy's a Palin follower..Teabaggin Maverick..
The first time Palin opened her lying hateful anti-American, anti Christian mouth, inciting her followers to hate & kill, she should have been held accountable for her words.
Sarah & Tod & the Palin family all send their prayers to the victims & their families. Make me puke...
John MacCain sends his prayers also..He delivered this unknown idiot upon the world.
F them all.

18. What if he invoked his right to counsel? Once that right is invoked and
a suspect indicates he or she is no longer willing to speak to law enforcement, he or she cannot be legally compelled to speak.

19. The New York Times notes:
"Investigators said that the second man was a taxi driver who drove the suspected gunman to the scene. Upon arriving there, the passenger said he did not have change and he and the taxi driver went into the supermarket for change and the two then walked out together and separated."

They need to see how this taxi driver found this passenger. Was he called to the address? was it a random assignment over the radio?

31. That's my thought, too
I am hoping they are doing some serious checking because I am still suspicious.

1) He waited until the photo was distributed before contacting police. Why would he wait...he had to know that the police would want to talk to him.
2) First reports I read said he went into the store because Jared stiffed him on the fair. Next they were reporting he went in because they needed to change a $20. How does that make sense? On the first scenario wouldn't he have made a scene about getting paid? On the 2nd scenario we are to believe that Jared thought the change was important. He delayed the "assassination" to go stand in line to change a $20. wtf....doesn't sound right to me.

Personally, I want to know when the call was placed for the taxi, who dispatched the taxi driver, and about a zillion other details. I'm not buying it. Plus, who took the guy to go buy his bullets? The same taxi?

21. Pima County photograph
Why didn't the FBI enhance the picture for the Pima County Sheriff? Were all of their agents busy making the crowd look bigger at a tea party rally? Or is this another example of what we get for 100's of millions of dollars we spent on the FBI computer system. Someone loan them a Mac.

If you take a taxi to an event with the expectation of dying, why wouldn't you just give the cabbie the whole $20?
