House Extends Key Provisions of Patriot Act
Source: Associated Press

The House has agreed to a 10-month extension of three key provisions of an anti-terrorism law that have met resistance from both conservatives and liberals as infringements on civil liberties and privacy rights.

18. and if he's wrong, they're wrong too.
You did have a point but I'm unable to ascertain what it was.

Being Obama doesn't make him right. Seemingly it makes him wrong more often than most Democrats even.

20. No, the votes were almost identical:

http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2011/roll036.xml

The first vote was done under a suspension of the rules, which requires a 2/3 vote to pass. The second time it was under a regular rule, which only requires a simple majority.

8. The earlier vote rejecting extension was pure political theatre conducted for the benefit of what
remains of the liberal establishment and the T-baggers. Pure theatre.
