Syria says U.S. asked for help with Iraq

DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — Secretary of State Colin Powell has asked Syria's president to help in stabilizing Iraq, Syria's official news agency said Thursday.
The request came in a letter from Powell to President Bashar Assad, congratulating him on Syria's Independence Day, which falls on April 17.

The letter from Powell — and a separate congratulatory letter from President Bush — were delivered by U.S. Ambassador Margaret Scobey during a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa.

Powell's message "explains the dangers of the developments in Iraq" and urges Syria "to give any possible help that could contribute to easing the situation there in a way that serves the country's unity and preserves its security and stability," SANA said.

I consider myself a pretty smart guy, but w/ all the crazy shit they do, I really can't come to a conclusion on this. This is one more piece of the puzzle I can't fit in anywhere. I mean, I can readily buy that they would foment violence in Iraq as part of a ploy to get political capital for committing more military might to the region, but then why would they beg the country they're threatening with sanctions for help with the hornet's nest they just stirred up?

Maybe the solution is just that fifty percent or more of what we read in the "news" is just the shredded blowback from the world's intelligence agencies planting stories, and it's all nonsense anyway.

I must add that Foxy People unlike dim witted to some extent, and regular people , lack any moral constraint, but they are aware of it. so to make up for it in order to meet their goal, they usually get involved in highly publicized fake religious or pther spiritual activity . Is he a puppet ? Absolutely not ! The only goal of this specie is sublimation and revenge and power.

Foxy have no other agenda beside raw power . Consequently, they are willing to let those who serve them play their games as long as they serve and strengthen their power. The funny thing is that most of the time his subordinate really think they are manipulating him. But he sees through them.
