Buffett Says He’s Pleased With President Obama
Source: Wall Street Journal

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett, who is hosting a fund-raiser for President Barack Obama in New York Friday night, said he is pleased with Mr. Obama’s stewardship of the economy but understands why some on Wall Street have deserted him.

Mr. Buffett attributed the fallout to populist rhetoric from the president, some early in his term. As a result, Wall Street donors felt demonized, he said.

“I think some — there was some rhetoric that contributed to that,” he said in an interview Friday with the “Charlie Rose” show on PBS. “I think the president felt, ‘My God, look at all the things we did for business, and they’re unappreciative, and you know, I’m all that stands between them and pitchforks,’ and all that kind of stuff.”

“So, Wall Street doesn’t — certainly doesn’t feel loved. And they might like to feel loved,” he added.

1. Scott Brown (R-Ma) knows how to make them
feel loved, I understand that he is #1 on their "donation" list. I wonder what he does for them that Obama fails to do?

7. Well, as long as the billionaires and investor class is happy, and Buffet can smooth things over
with Wall Street, all is right with the DLC, New Democrat, Third Way, No Labels world.

Imagine, Wall Street unhappy because of populist RHETORIC. He okayed the second part of the bailout and let them out of their agreements when they wanted out, and also extended tax cuts for the rich, but populist RHETORIC puts them off.

I'll retire to Bedlam.

8. Yeah, I thought there was an understanding on Wall Street
"Hey Obama, you keep feeding us the wealth of your nation and we will let you say whatever you want about us to get re elected. So you can continue to feed us the wealth of your nation."

Something along those lines. Apparently they are clueless, which is better. The clueless eventually lose.

13. They knew. Check into his donations 2007-2008. And, he's looking for a billion this time.
It's kabuki.

Roman peasants got bread and circus to keep them amused and fed enough to avoid revolts. We get kabuki and some of us get food stamps or Social Security.
