China's economic growth slows to 9.1% in third quarter

China's economic expansion slowed during the third quarter of the year as government measures to control inflation hurt growth.

China's economy grew by 9.1% in the three months to the end of September from a year earlier, down from 9.5% in the previous quarter.

The data comes amid fears that a slowdown in the US and Europe's debt crisis may also hurt China's growth.

China is the world's second-largest economy.

2. Those measures are DESIGNED to slow the economy down.
They know that at their current pace instability is in the future. They are intentionally slowing the economy down. It has nothing to do with the rest of the world.

5. definition of a crazy system is when this is a harbinger of more crisis
What's to make of an economic order wherein although constant growth is an impossibility, any even temporary slowdown in what is defined as "growth" (the all-holy GDP) can and does result in disinvestment, layoffs, offshoring, public sector cuts to the needy, tax cuts to the wealthy, right-wing hysterias, bubbles and scams, and panics?
