Source: CBS News/AP

U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is in North Carolina for two weeks of intensive therapy sessions as she continues to recover from a gunshot wound to the head.

On Sunday Rep. Giffords traveled to North Carolina from Houston, where she continues to undergo rehabilitation as part of her recovery from injuries she suffered when she was shot on January 8th, reports CBS affiliate

Giffords' office said in a statement Sunday that the Arizona congresswoman is expected to spend time with a therapist who has worked with her in Houston for the last several months and has been extensively involved in her therapy.

Giffords will work with the therapist from Monday through Nov. 4 in Asheville, N.C. No other specifics on her therapy were given.

1. Not surprising

Knowing her, she probably wants to be back on the House floor going 101% and wants it yesterday.
If there's anyone who can come back from a wound like hers, Gabby is the one.

We usually celebrate New Year's Eve together, and I'm sure she wants to be in shape to make the trip.
I'm not sure she'll make it this year, but her will is strong enough that I give it an even chance.
