Gallup puts Obama up 6 points
Source: Politico

In the last week, President Obama has moved up six points in Gallup’s approval-rating tracker.

Obama registered at a 38 percent approval between Oct. 15 and 17. His number between Thursday (when Muammar Qadhafi was killed) and Saturday is 44 percent.

His disapproval rating, now at 47 percent, has been higher than his approval rating since late July.

Reagan's approval in his third year hit a low of 35%.

1. It really is not
Ghadafi, it has a lot to do with him trying to pass job bills and the tea nutso don't care about the American people. Also OWS is helping as well although if you listen to the corporate media, its not about him anyways.

2. Qadaffi definitely plays a big role. As you said, the media has emphasized that. nt

13. Occupy Wall Street has hit big with a simple anti-crime message. Rich bankers stole $7-trillion.
Sure, they rent out Obama.

GOPers... they own all the way through. And the GOPers are fascists:

"Democracy is not the solution to our problems. Democracy is the problem."

Compared to the GOPers, Obama and OWS are damn close:

Audacity of hope, indeed.

3. People disapprove of him until...
...they see the collection of weirdos and degenerates running on the R. side.

4. The disapproval is a mile wide and an inch deep.
It is, on a very real level, just a reflexive blame for the fact that the economy hasn't come roaring back like people would like.

5. One can continue to disapprove while still voting for him.

Just because you disapprove of how Obama's doing his job doesn't mean you can't vote for him. Especially when you disapprove of the Republicans more.

6. Absolutely. I'm not in full approval of many of the things he's said and done but
I'd be putting a gun to America's head if I voted for any rethug that's running for office today.

10. True, but I still intend to vote next year.
So I still have to make a decision. Well, I decided quite a while ago.

9. Most of the disapproval are people who don't think he has done enough
The Republican press ignores the party of NO and then declares victory. Then they run polls and under report them to justify themselves.

7. Back to 42% on Monday -- however, I think leaving Libya and Iraq should prove more plusses!!
