French far-right calls to scrap the euro
Source: EU Observer

French far-right presidential candidate Le Pen has said on BFM TV/RMC she will scrap the euro, return to the French franc and devalue the franc if she wins. A recent poll by LH2 for Yahoo gave her just 14% support. Socialist candidate Hollande got 34%. French President Sarkozy got 24%.

She might as well go after the Euro. Probably needed to come up with something fresh to be against to spice up the anti-immigration, anti-globalization message that has been the party's mainstay for a long time.

9. The good news it that the far-right is polling at 14%. That's much lower than
in the past few elections. Apparently the popularity of their ideas is fading.

Let's hope that Le Pen actually polls that low in the election next year.

2. What's wrong with anti-globalization?
I'm sure even most liberals don't like One World Government and the NWO.

4. That's an awful idea.
I actually agree, if anything, these countries need to revert to sovereign currencies.

all these damn currencies and their different values between each other, plus all the trading of currencies is the awful idea. One global currency that is the same value everywhere.

7. Total dependency on a single currency can cause
a domino effect of failure across all nations. It's way too risky.

8. Le Pen is a nut, but I bet this proposal will be more popular than people expect...
The German and French government and most of the people still support keeping the Euro, but it is beginning to really lose support among a growing minority.
