Veterans greet kerry

Democratic presidential contender John Kerry came to the Twin Cities on Monday evening to fire up the faithful and raise campaign cash for his marathon battle with Republican President George W. Bush.
Kerry, a U.S. senator from Massachusetts who is the presumed nominee of the Democratic Party, is to attend a trio of public and private fund-raisers at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Monday night.

Bush appeared at the same venue one week ago, addressing a gathering of community college officials and later attending a fund-raiser in Edina. This year, both candidates feel they have a shot at winning Minnesota's 10 electoral votes, which haven't gone to a Republican since Richard Nixon won the state in 1972.

Kerry landed about 5:45 p.m. at a charter terminal at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and was greeted by a group of 14 veterans, members of "Minnesota Veterans and Families for John Kerry." He spoke to each veteran for a minute or so at the airport....<more>

2. Please, all Vets, go with our fellow Veteran This Time JOHN KERRY

Sadly, many VETS went with the AWOL CHICKENHAWK GWB IN 2000. Al Gore was and is a VIET NAM WAR Veteran. John Kerry is also one, a very distiguished one. Some articles I have read in the VFW MAGAZINE and THE ARMY TIMES have given me renewed hope that Veterans , and most especially current Armed Forces members are starting to realize that it is the DEMOCRATS who trully care about them. Paul Wellstone was always a true champion for Veterans. He is dead now along with his wife,daughter,staff members, and the crew of the airplane they all died in. Many people do not believe it was an accident. As far as I know he is the only Senator to vote against Shrub`s War AUTHORIZATION or whatever it was called, please correct me if I am wrong about this. Who cares about you VETS and especially current TROOPS ? THE DEMOCRATS, THAT`S WHO ! VOTE for a Veteran, vote JOHN KERRY, he is still fighting FOR YOU ! ...Oscar
