Did Kerry make up jet-pilot story?
Some guy at work sent this to me swearing that he found another Kerry lie. I have never even heard of this story, but WorldNetDaily, is a right wing rag, so I just wanted to hear what really happened.

Here is the article link. Its too many short paragraphs to comply with the requirements and have it make any sense

1. Welcome to DU Wubba ...
Given that the site linked has a couple other "slam Kerry" articles, I would doubt the source.

Just a bunch of Democrat-haters trying to latch onto something to hate.

3. A few hints, wubba
1) The old "a guy at work sent this to me" gambit is a bit stale. Well, more than stale really. It is as dead as can be. Perhaps you can be a bit more creative?

2) Everyone knows that WroldNetDaily is garbage. You might try to rack up 100 posts or so before you "shock" everyone with the "truth" of WND. It's a bit tedious.

6. Woo, take a deep breath..
..he/she didn't say a thing about "shock" or "truth." The original post actually says he/she had never heard anything about this. I could understand someone getting defensive about a new poster coming in and saying "SEE? PROOF THAT KERRY IS DISHONEST!" and linking WND...but that's not the case here.

Best to just laugh and move on to the next article :)

7. Stealth Mode
Post incendiary articles and then innocently ask if it's true -- claiming that it was "proof" that Kerry is dishonest would simply result in the whole thread being janked.

5. Why would he make it up?
The banality of the attacks on Kerry is just disturbing.

8. Tell your "friend"
that the inconsistencies that the nitpicking right bring up about this issue only demonstrates their ignorance of geography. Kerry went up to get a view of the Gulf of Aqaba. Then, it made sense that he could've gotten too close to Egypt. Had he wanted a view of the City, then his statements would've been wrong.

I really don't get it. This was 1991 - Kerry was in his 2nd decade of public service. Bush* was still sitting around mucking the Rangers, after destroying several small businesses - and you just want to hear what REALLY happened here? Dude, there are a lot more pressing things to worry about - How about, what did Bush know about the prison torture stuff and when did he know it? Why did he have no exit strategy for Iraq? Where is the 25 billion coming from to pay for the latest muckups in Iraq? Why have we lost 7 times more young soldiers than when Bush told us Major Combat was over in Iraq?

priorities, please.
