BOSTON (Reuters) - Police in Boston and Philadelphia searched two airliners on Wednesday in response to a bomb threat but found nothing and sent both planes on their way, the Transport Safety Administration said.
"We responded to a call alluding to a bomb threat," said Ann Davis, a spokeswoman for the TSA. "Police with canine units screened passengers and thoroughly searched the aircraft but found nothing."
Authorities said the caller mentioned American Eagle Flight 4543 from Philadelphia to Boston and American Airlines Flight 156 from Boston to London. The TSA could not say whether the caller had been identified.
