Party chair hopefuls share vision, little else

SAN ANTONIO -- Republican activists can overwhelmingly agree on a conservative agenda without being harmonious, and about 12,000 of them will prove that point as they gather today for the Texas GOP's biennial state convention.

Headlining the meeting, which ends Saturday, will be the most contested race for state party chairman since social and religious conservatives seized control of the party leadership 10 years ago.

Delegates also will fill two seats on the Republican National Committee and adopt a party platform expected to take issue with gay marriages, abortion and big government....>

It's okay to be conservative like this, but it's NOT okay when you expect everyone else to think/behave like you do. But for some reason, that is lost on these people.
