Perry takes swipe at Kerry as (TX GOP) convention begins
Gov. Rick Perry stirred Texas Republican Party fervor today with sharp attacks on gay marriage, abortion and Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry. As the GOP's state convention began, the re-election bid of President Bush took center stage, as did the Republican effort to seize control of the Texas congressional delegation. Perry addressed thousands of party faithful and wasted no time in defending Bush and criticizing Kerry. He said Kerry tells contradictory accounts of his support for lower gas prices and for funding the war in Iraq.

"No wonder he is supported by so many foreign leaders; he's about as decisive as the United Nations Security Council," Perry said.

Bush, the former Texas Republican governor, has led decisively in the war against terror, Perry said. Convention delegates gave a loud, standing ovation when Perry reminded them that the Army's 4th Infantry Division of Fort Hood captured Saddam Hussein last year.

The audience offered cheers of approval when Perry said he makes no apologies for his "pro-family and pro-life" stance. He also said the journey of human life begins "from the moment of conception."

1. Little Ricky Perry ...
"Let's get on down the road." What a twit. Rumor is, in Texas, that he likes the ladies. Lotsa ladies.

2. What happened to all the news about Governor Goodhair's
gay lover?

Not that I care if he is gay -- he just doesn't have to be such a hypoctite about it, and deprive other people of their rights.

I would not even care if he stayed in the closet. I just want him to shut up.

3. See my post.
My neighbor in Dallas has a sister-in-law who is a chef at the GovTexMansion. She reports the hyper-sexlife of goodhair. Maybe he swings both ways. She, the chef, also worked for Bu$h. She hated him.

5. Wow, what a risk taker!
He sure is gutsy to slam Kerry, abortion, and the UN at the Texas GOP convention!

What an ass.

Seriously, I hope "One Tough Grandma" Carol Keeton McLellan Rylander Strayhorn challenges him in the 2006 primary. The blood would flow!

7. I hear Perry's building a big radioactive waste dump in Texas!

No wonder the wingnuts love him! What could be better than radioactive pollutants in the West Texas groundwater?

9. I didn't realize these assholes were in town
here in San Antonio. We had talked about going down to the River this weekend. Not now. I'd probably get into a bar fight with one or more of them. On the other hand, that doesn't sound like too bad an idea! Only thing is the wife gets pissed!
