Teresa Heinz: Bush helpful in fund-raising
Teresa Heinz: Bush helpful in fund-raising

By MADISON J. GRAY, Associated Press

Last Updated: June 4, 2004, 06:50:00 AM PDT

NEW YORK (AP) - Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, says "the other guy" - President Bush - may be her husband's biggest fund-raiser.

"Alone, I was able to raise $2 million in a week a month ago," Heinz Kerry said Thursday at the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Manhattan, an annual state Democratic event. "I don't think it's me. I think it's the other guy, and I don't mean my husband."

"One of the saddest things about this administration is its cynical attempt to equate patriotism with singing in the president's amen chorus," she said. "The Americans I have met are tired of being told it is unpatriotic to question this president and his administration's policies."

snip...
"I have been known to speak my mind and express my opinions - maybe you've heard that," she said. "My hope is that at the end of this campaign or one day soon, women who have earned the right to their opinions won't be called opinionated."

2. I long for a first lady and a President of substance
that can actually think for themselves not just when the string in their back is pulled. I miss intelligent debate and thought.

3. I like Teresa Heinz Kerry too..
At least there is more to her than the pink frosted window dressing represented by the current First Lady.

I'm looking forward to being part of her activism after the elections.

5. Applause, applause!
Go Theresa!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I heard treasonous Novack yesterday on "Crossfire" disparaging her for her remarks and stating that she's the "fabulously wealthy wife of Sen Kerry who will not disclose her tax information for public scrutiny". What a POS Novak is - he belongs in jail, with his mouth gagged and his hands tied so he can't speak, or write, evil ever again.

10. Rush questioned her credentials and called her an idiot
He was foaming at the mouth (what's new?) and asked what were her credentials other than marrying a senator and inheriting alot of money and then "marrying that gigalo Kerry".

Aside from the fact that she is smart, effective, in the loop, and personable, I am not sure what that douchebag (sorry douchebags) is talking about.

Let's see, Rush's credentials are:

1) He has spent the last 15 years sitting behind a microphone doing
monologs
2) He is a drug addict
3) He played Top 40 hits on a backwater radio station
4) He is a draft dodging chickenhawk
5) He is a closeted homosexual that hates homosexuals
6) He can't stay married (probably because of 5)

Other than drugs, divorces, and bullshit, what expertise does this nimrod have? You just want to smack him silly.

time, is a threat to Limbaugh..

Teresa is a dream come true for us..

She brings a welcomed international flavor to the table.

18. Novak and Limbaugh are cynical, ugly, old politicos,...
,...who can't handle a strong, intelligent, inspiring woman in their hate-filled world.

BAH on them both.

17. flush limpballs really should take a look at that self-loathing thing...
...I too believe that his addictions and internal pain are because he is a closeted homosexual who hasn't worked through his sexual identity issues... I mean, listen to his rhetoric (not for too long now, brain damage), it's so obvious.

Two words, flush: muzzle and T-H-E-R-A-P-Y.

12. Mepublicans must be soiling themselves-
Talk about a slam-dunk. This is why Kerry will win:
"One of the saddest things about this administration is its cynical attempt to equate patriotism with singing in the president's amen chorus," she said. "The Americans I have met are tired of being told it is unpatriotic to question this president and his administration's policies."

Amen to THAT!

Was reading an article about her in Newsweek, despite its effort to pin her as a nut, I thought she seemed pretty damn cool. Anyone that axes their own chickens is fine by me.
