--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
June 7, 2004--In Iowa, a Rasmussen Reports survey finds Senator John F. Kerry leading President George W. Bush 49% to 41%.

Four years ago, Al Gore narrowly carried Iowa by a 49% to 48% margin. Kerry became the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination by winning the Iowa caucuses. Iowa Governor Thomas Vilsack is reportedly on the short-list that Kerry is considering for his Vice-Presidential running mate.
...
Forty-five percent (45%) of Iowa voters Approve of the way Bush is performing his job as President. That figure is below the President's national Job Approval rating.

4. Colorado is up next
Especially with the ruling that the idiot Pukes can't gerrymander the state. Landslide baby!

7. Gerrymandering doesn't help Kerry.
That would only affect House races.

Personally, I'll be shocked if Colorado goes for Kerry. Happy, but shocked.

5. I'm beginning to believe Bush loses in a landslide

Kerry is just cruising along as Bush implodes. You will see a different Kerry after the convention. He will do to Bush what he did to the popular governor, Weld, in their Senate fight. Kerry, given up for defeated, came on when he had to and won going away. I think the same is about to happen.

9. Oh, how I miss Eastern Iowa...
Especially the liberal enclave of Iowa City. I'm stuck in red-state hell, here in Nebraska. Though, to be fair, our Republican senator is a constant thorn in BushCo's side.

How in God's name is the shrub polling over 30 percent?! Are these people (his support base) simply not paying attention, or are they getting what the want? I could understand the latter if his numbers were low, but I can't believe that 41 percent of Iowans are actually happy with this administration. And this in a state where his job approval rating is BELOW the national average. Where on earth is he dredging up 41 percent support?!
:wtf:
