Bishop hammers Martin on abortion
OTTAWA - The Roman Catholic bishop of Calgary has sent an open letter to all the city's parishes criticizing Prime Minister Paul Martin for "moral incoherence" on the abortion issue.
Henry writes that although Martin is frequently described as a "`devout Catholic," his public stance on abortion and same-sex marriage is "a source of scandal in the Catholic community and reflects a fundamental moral incoherence."

Martin has responded to the backbench musings by saying he would never allow Parliament to override the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, either on abortion or same-sex marriage.

And the southern part of North America thought that only they had problems with Caesar/god problems!

1. Moral Incoherence.
Wow. They should know.

It's all about population growth to these goons, but they aren't consciously aware of it. Grow the family, grow the church, then grow the army, and don't let anyone interfere with these ends.

2. Yes
And while they are growing, they are kept poor, thus subservient to the church for help, also known as charity.

6. I disagree; they're fully conscious of it
that it the only possible reason for the Catholic dogma on contraception. They count their successes in Catholic souls, no matter if the Catholics live in poverty.

4. I hope the press asks Harper what his opinion is of this development
And no double-talk. Does he agree or not?

7. Bishop Fred manages to be a social radical and a so-con
at the same time. His own views are pretty incoherent.
