Reagan Funeral Costing D.C. $2.3 Million

WASHINGTON (AP) - City Administrator Robert C. Bobb said the cost of Ronald Reagan's funeral to the District of Columbia, as of Wednesday morning, was $2.3 million ``and increasing.''

``I'm certain that those costs will exceed where we are currently,'' Bobb said. However, he expected the federal government would help out, as it does for other major events such as inaugurations and political demonstrations.

``The District of Columbia will be reimbursed at the appropriate time. We are keeping track of all of our costs,'' Bobb said.

Officials said they hoped as many as 5,000 people an hour will be able to file past Reagan's casket during 34 hours of public viewing at the Capitol.

for the day...since bush* decided that all Federal employees have the day OFF....


it's shameful really...as the casket will roll right by over 18,000 homeless people (60% OUR Veterans)...mostly as a result of reaguns policies....
