Kerry Has Solid Lead Among Voters Nationwide
http://www.latimes.com/news/custom/timespoll/la-na-poll10jun10.story

WASHINGTON - Widespread unease over the country's direction and doubts about President Bush's policies on Iraq and the economy helped propel Sen. John F. Kerry to a solid lead among voters nationwide, according to a new Times Poll.

Yet in a measure of the race's tenuous balance, Times' polling in three of the most fiercely contested states found that Bush has a clear advantage over Kerry in Missouri and runs even with the presumed Democratic rival in Ohio and Wisconsin.

The surveys suggest that attitudes may be coalescing for a contest that pivots on the classic electoral question at times of discontent: Will voters see more risk in stability or change?

<snip>

Yet Kerry led Bush by 51% to 44% nationally in a two-way match up, and by 48% to 42% in a three-way race, with independent Ralph Nader drawing 4%.

<snip>

"I haven't seen that much that can provide us real leadership," said Rechtin. "But it's more than three years now and we don't seem to be going anywhere at all, and this involvement in Iraq is taking us down the wrong path, so I definitely feel we need a leadership change."

7. Ask her this
Ask her how many funerals Bush has attended of American service men and women who have died in his holy oil war.
Ask her to tell you if this “Bring it on” Chicken Hawk has helped or hindered the kids that are now over there taking the brunt of his words.

And ask her if we are so damned right about everything WHY the entire friggin world save for a few mercs are against us.

8. I still have hope
that our fellow MO citizens will wake up and pay attention, if not soon, at least by fall. Don't forget, MO went for Clinton over Bush the first, and Clinton over Dole. And both of those losers were/would have been better presidents than the piss ant we have in office now.

10. Would * throw his body between her grandkids and the terrorists?
I don't understand how people can think that it is the president who protects them from terrorists. It's the police and FBI. Kerry has already shown that he is willing to put his life at risk for the life of another. What the hell more do people want?

5. Jeebus, I wish Wisconsin wasn't so close!
I so want my state in the Kerry column.

On the bright side, though our swing-state status may bring Margaret Cho to Wis. this fall!

6. The Reagan funeral is doing more damage to Bush than Kerry ever could.
Although I'm not a Reagan fan....the contrast between Reagan and Bush as defined
by Republican speakers eulogizing Reagan are startling to everyone.

Bush must be seething white hot as the Republican Party
fractures before our eyes..

BIG TIME!

14. So which is it?
Kerry is barely ahead or has a solid lead. What part of the press is lying? The only part I'm sure of is their fawning all over Reagan's corpse. I lived through many presidencies and endured 8 years of lying, profiteering, and corruption under that mediocre actor and now another 3.5 under the pretend king. John has got to do it for me and I'm worried as hell.

16. Relax
The election "season" hasn't really started for most folks yet. Kerry will "kill" Bush in the debates. That is if Bush is stupid enough to get in the ring with him.

17. Next door in Okla, I'm not so sure Gep would be a good choice (I like him
just fine, but I don't think he'd generate much steam outside MO)...
But then I'm in the only state Clark won, so my political radar probably has some chaff on it. (and yes, I did vote for him as did my SO)

23. Battleground states work on your friends that supported Nader
We need every vote to count, especially if you think Bush will steal a close election. Especially in MO WI and the other states that are close get on your friends NOT to waste their vote this time on Nader. This is not an election that we can afford to make a political statements about third parties for president or anything like that, it is way to important.

Please please please even if you have to remind them caustically that had they not voted for Nader last time Bush would not be President.

are having to admit that Kerry's leading. Now what will the freeper idiots cite? Oh, yeah, I guess it'll be back to quoting the venom that that drug addict Limbaugh spews.
