Saddam's daughter laments her 'hard life'
By Nadia Abou El-Magd

Cairo - Saddam Hussein's eldest daughter told a weekly women's magazine that her life has been full of emotional suffering and that she would go back to Iraq if she had the chance.

"My life is a series of collapses," Raghad Saddam Hussein said in an interview in Friday's edition of Sayidaty magazine. "If age is measured by anguish and sadness, I would have been 80 today."

"But despite this, my confidence hasn't wavered for a single day in God the almighty," the 36-year-old said.

1. I dislike Bush... but Saddam and his family are not my cup of tea
either. They enjoyed the fruits of abusing Iraqis. She deserves whatever is coming to her.
Being Saddam's daughter probably was not piece of cake, but come on!

3. You have to compare justice just as you compare all things in life to

determine how good or bad something is. How could a family be embraced by the United States, the Marcos family, when they surely killed and tortured, and stole... more than Saddam did? What do you know about the conditions in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. What do you know about the murders of Shah of Iran. Mohammed Reza Pahlavi? How about Pinochet?

Do you know if Saddam or the USA had actually killed more civilians in Iraq? Who has tortured more?

I have European friends who have traveled many Middle Eastern countries in the 80s, pre Bush I, and they all say Iraq was the most open, free, westernized, free walking freely with no coverings, nighlife, semi-free reports... compared to try fascism of the other Middle Eastern countries. Some reports you don't see on CNN.

4. I know all what you are saying. I know that women were the best
off in the ME in Iraq (and I really feel bad for them now). But Saddam, even if he did 1/5 of what they say he did is not an Angel. Doing the dirty work of the US against Iran is bad enough. I am not for doing anything to hurt her, but I cannot feel sorry.
