When Lincoln County, Miss., officials found two New Orleans men with $27,000 in cash in the trunk of their car, the men had documents showing that they were in the process of selling a Franklin Avenue grocery store. However, sheriff's deputies insisted that the men -- and the grocery store's purchaser, who was riding with them March 10 -- were money launderers. They ignored all evidence that contradicted their theory.

This week Shareef Quattom and Atiya Saleh got their money back. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department sent them a check for $27,000 after the Internal Revenue Service told them to return the money immediately.

When you want to keep the property, you have to plant the drugs. Guess the "war on Terra" won't be as profitable to local governments as the "war on drugs".

6. Hey, they were just ahead of their time....

If the GOP is allowed to persist, soon you will either be a fascist fatcat GOP donor (and above all prosecution) or you will be so poor that there is no way you could amass $27K in cash.

They would probably pass a law say that unless you are registered, possesion of more than $5K in cash is illegal.
