CIA sends heavily redacted WMD report to Senate
From Steve Turnham and David Ensor
CNN Washington Bureau
Tuesday, June 15, 2004 Posted: 7:50 PM EDT (2350 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Members of the Senate Intelligence Committee investigating prewar Iraq intelligence expressed displeasure Tuesday with CIA efforts to keep large parts of the committee's report secret.

Intelligence Committee Chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kansas, said the committee has received some of its report back from the CIA, which has been reviewing it to determine which parts can be made public.

A visibly irritated Roberts asked, "Do I look happy?" when asked to comment on the redacted CIA report.

2. Because one can be unhappy for only so long
Then one gets mental! Republicans turning into Democrats, Democrats turning into Republicans, Greens being Greens and Libertarians off in the corner reading a book. This Bozo Bush Jr. and company had a free ride to long, our bitching to the media, congress and to each other is paying off. That is why you are smiling.

5. Read report into record!
That's all they had to do. Who's in charge of the Congress? The CIA?

These Senators are whimps. No guts, no glory. They have total immunity for anything they want to do on the floor. CSPAN would cover it.

6. A brief look at the redacted portion:
"President George W. Bush could not, when asked, find his ass with both hands and a shovel and compass. There were no fucking Weapons of Mass Destruction...wait, we found them!...err, we're over there to liberate the Iraqi people! uhh, that is...Saddam is a bad man...the weapons have been shipped to other countries, notably Syria and Iran yeah, RIGHT, Saddam just called up the Iranians and said, 'Sorry about that war we had, hey do you mind holding on to some weapons for me? I'll send Hakkim around to pick them up in a few months after I kick the U.S.'s ass...MISERABLE FUCKING FAILURE!

7. This is so so wrong.
And so so important.

Nobody elected this person in the White House president let alone emperor. Over and over this administration has done everything possible to completely thwart any constitutional sense of balance of powers.

If this kind of crap continues, we might as well just dismiss the legislative branch of government.

8. This will be leaked. Hopefully before the election.
These last months of the * maladministration are just so Nixonian. If * should steal the election, I expect that the deja vu for us oldsters will get worse and worse. In that event, my only hope would be that the Congressional and grand jury investigations, trials and leaks get so bad that no one in the illegitimate maladministration would be able to focus on doing anything other than saving his or her hide, leaving the rest of the world safe until the double impeachment and conviction!

10. 30-40% classified
"After reviewing the roughly 400 pages for classified data, the intelligence agency returned the report to the Senate Intelligence Committee with brackets around 30 percent to 40 percent of the contents to signal the information was secret, intelligence sources said. "
