Official verdict: White House misled world over Saddam September attacks
http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/story.jsp?story=532341

17 June 2004

President George Bush,

1 May 2003

The liberation of Iraq removed... an ally of al-Qa'ida

Vice-President Cheney,

22 January 2004

There's overwhelming evidence... of a connection between al-Qa'ida and Iraq

Donald Rumsfeld,

14 November 2002

Within a week, or a month, Saddam could give his WMD to al-Qa'ida

Condoleezza Rice,

17 September 2003

Saddam was a danger in the region where the 9/11 threat emerged

The Bush administration's credibility was dealt a devastating blow yesterday when the commission investigating the attacks of 11 September said there was no credible evidence that Saddam Hussein's regime had assisted al-Qa'ida - something repeatedly suggested by the President and his senior officials and held up as a reason for the invasion of Iraq.

3. looks like even the US press is going to have to report this one
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A47812-2004Jun16.html

excerpt:

The finding challenges a belief held by large numbers of Americans about al Qaeda's ties to Hussein. According to a Harris poll in late April, a plurality of Americans, 49 percent to 36 percent, believe "clear evidence that Iraq was supporting al Qaeda has been found."

As recently as Monday, Cheney said in a speech that Hussein "had long-established ties with al Qaeda." Bush, asked on Tuesday to verify or qualify that claim, defended it by pointing to Abu Musab Zarqawi, who has taken credit for a wave of attacks in Iraq.

These idiots have lied so much and the parrot-a-thon has amplified their lies so often that a plurality of Americans, 49 percent to 36 percent are going to have a hard time accepting the truth of the matter.

6. So we impeached a president
for something that was nobody's business. But when you lie about every reason for invade a sovereign country, Congress sits on their hands. Where are all those self righteous Congressmen now?

9. Now, now
if they admit that Bu$h flat out lied about invading a sovereign nation, they might have to, at the least, call for his resignation. And if W resigns in disgrace, then they might have to charge him with war crimes. We wouldn't want that now, would we? :sarcasm off:

8. How could their "credibility" be "dealt a devastating blow"???
Who the f*ck can even find their "credibility"??

Put the "administration's credibility" in the same category as the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and the flat earth - completely fictitious and nonexistent.

11. We knew that BEFORE the war was waged.
We were subjected to all kinds of emotional and physical abuse in trying to unleash the truth.

Will we now be appreciated?

It doesn't matter.

We moved the ball down the field far more quickly than ever before.

We made a difference and that is more valuable than any acknowledgement!!!!

12. Lies and Damned lies!
"Bush, asked on Tuesday to verify or qualify that claim, defended it by pointing to Abu Musab Zarqawi, who has taken credit for a wave of attacks in Iraq."

Rumsfailed now says Zarqawi is not AQ affiliate but lone wolf. BushCo had three oportunities to assasinate Zarqawi before the invasion of Iraq yet did not act. The reason?
