One has to wonder what the HELL the criteria are for this group. Even if you ignore the fact that he's a lying, murderous, psychotic stooge for a blithering idiot, the military life is an obstacle to good parenting, not a boon. Everyone who's ever been a parent in the military knows this.

10. Did you hear Karpinski on BBC Radio ?
Basically told by Miller to clear out of Abu Grahib. You can listen to the entire interview on www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/factual/ontheropes.shtml

Go to Listen Again.

Not saying she's a sympathetic character, but she had the balls to stand up and be interviewed by a professional political journalist for an hour.

13. What is Really Sad About This Choice

Is that unlike so many men in our armed forces Richard Myers has the ability to see his children.

I wish the recipients had been the fathers who are members of our Armed Forces - who cannot be with their children on Father's Day.

It is like Tenet say he is leaving to spend more time with his family -- bet there are alot of men and women in Iraq who would like to leave to spend more time with their family.

The Father's Day Council of San Francisco yesterday recognized Jim Marggraff as 2004 Father of the Year at a gala dinner benefiting the American Diabetes Association.
(snip)
Marggraff joins a distinguished list of former Father of the Year honorees, including Colin Powell, Rudolph Giuliani and Tom Brokaw.

18. more...
The National Father's Day Council must suffer from a bad sense of humor or short-term memory loss.

Recently, it decided to honor former New York Knicks center Patrick Ewing as one of its 2003 National Fathers of the Year.

How sweet.
This is the same Patrick Ewing who testified in federal court in July 2001 that he frequently visited the notorious Gold Club in Atlanta, where he received all kinds of house amenities for free.
