Senate Hikes Indecency Fines, Tightens Ownership
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate approved on Tuesday measures to substantially raise fines for airing indecent material on broadcast television and radio, and invalidate media ownership rules that were eased last year.

The measures were attached to the $447 billion bill authorizing defense programs which is expected to pass this year. Fines would be raised to $275,000 per incident up to a maximum of $3 million per day.

7. Just WHAT did the Busheviks' "give" here exactly?
Was it the same thing they gave JFK, Wellstone, and Carnahan, too?

THAT's the only thing an Imperial Family "gives".

Orders. Murderous orders.

Imperial Amerika, you are about to find out how The Other Half lives.

4. This same defense bill raises the debt limit
The Repugs are sneaking in an increase in the U.S. debt limit.

The defense bill is starting to look less like a military budget and more like a smorgasbord.

6. Playing Politics.
It's a pretty common attempt to pander to "moderate" and "conservative" voters who might swing either way by coming out against something like "Profanity" or "Indecency" since those words are naturally negative words. Essentially, the system is to pretend that the entire electorate is Frankenstein's Monster.

Profanity bad! Fire bad!

Actually devling into the issue of free speech and open society requires coherent thought. The Republicans know that it's an easy issue to score with, and it fits their agenda. The Democrats are afraid to be labeled as radicals or freaks, so they fall in line. In summary:
