Fans Line Up To Buy Clinton's Book
NEW YORK - Eager for a few seconds of face time with their idol, hundreds of Bill Clinton (news - web sites)'s fans crowded along several city blocks Tuesday near a Manhattan bookstore where he was scheduled to sign copies of his new memoir, "My Life."

"Bill Clinton is a rock star," said Lynne Roberts, 37, who set up camp Monday night, nearly 15 hours before the signing was to begin. "He is our cultural icon and we miss him now more than ever, given everything that's going on in the world."

The Rockefeller Center Barnes & Noble planned to give out more than 1,000 wristbands that would allow customers to purchase several copies, but only one autographed by the former president, who was to arrive at 12:30 p.m.

Although fans were told there would be no time to talk to Clinton, Dana Scinto of Stamford, Conn., said she would try to convey a message anyway. "I want to thank him for eight fun years where he didn't insult my intelligence or rule by fear like our current president," said Scinto, 39, as she waited on 48th Street, a short distance from the Fifth Avenue store entrance.

7. The countdown to the explosion of Bill O'Reichley's head begins...
3...2...1...if he went ballistic over the sales figures of books by Franken and Moore and Senator Clinton, I cannot WAIT to hear his little cranium make those snapping, popping sounds when he sees the sales figures for the Big Dawg's book.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, EAT THIS, O'REICHLEY! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Oh gawd, that felt good...but must remind myself, Schadenfreude is bad, Schadenfreude is bad...

8. isn't it tiring being told how awful his presidency was?
as i recall, i had money back then. and a few million others had jobs.

but alas, the clinton years were a long, long nightmare of peace and prosperity.

and we shouldn't read his book because he's just an awful, awful person and we're awful awful people if we read it. why won't he just go away and leave us alone?

i love it when the righties get apoplectic.

9. I don't recall
this kind of reaction for Babs' or George I's book.
It drives the freepers beserk that people actually wait in line to see Hillary and the President - that people very obviously LOVE them. The outpouring of love for the Clintons is proof that their twisted storyline about the Clinton are nothing but lies and partisan smears.
