Senate Rejects Cuts in Missile Defense
WASHINGTON -- The Senate rejected a proposal to take some money from President Bush's proposed missile defense budget and spend it instead on such tasks as securing "loose nukes" and America's ports and borders.

It voted 56-44 Tuesday against an amendment to the defense authorization bill that would have shifted $515 million away from the proposed $10.2 billion missile defense budget.

2. Waste waste waste waste-Star Wars IS Reagan's legacy
What a complete and utter waste. Clinton got serious mileage throwing them that bone but he really should have scratched it off the list or at least tried, I understand why he didn't politically though.

5. Good move!!
Goodness knows the terrists will somehow launch an ICBM which
can be traced back to them, rather than sneak one into the
states in a briefcase, eluding detection.

6. You haven't heard about the new boxcutter missile system?
It detects boxcutters in the pockets of freedom-hating terrorists and launches, in the process vaporizing the terrorists and their boxcutters without harming anyone else.

The ultimate line of defense!!

7. The missile shield doesn't work...for defense. Only for offense. Its
right in line with PNAC's agenda.
