Gore To Accuse Bush Admin. Of Intentional Distortion On Iraq/Al Qaeda...
Complete title:

Al Gore To Accuse Bush Administration Of Intentional Distortion On Iraq/Al Qaeda Ties In DC Speech Thursday

http://www.algoredemocrats.com/news/gnn/EplZAAlZllWQShkfPA.shtml

(Washington, DC)--In a major Washington policy address this Thursday, former Vice President Al Gore will accuse the Bush Administration of intentionally misleading the American people by continuing to falsely claim a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda.

He will charge that Bush and Cheney have "institutionalized dishonesty as an essential element of their policy process."

Gore will also urge the broadcast media to further resist Administration efforts to manipulate and intimidate them, to fearlessly report the fact that there is no Al Qaeda/Saddam collaborative relationship, as the 9/11 Commission staff report has concluded.

Gore will also discuss the implications of the Administration’s claim to be above the law in ordering the torture of suspects – and their claim that the Commander in Chief’s power trumps all other laws. He will call for the Administration to reveal all orders given the military on the treatment of prisoners.

(More, but not much... )

4. It might be on C-SPAN, but we won't know until tomorrow
Edited on Wed Jun-23-04 11:53 AM by AlGore2004dotORG
C-SPAN never commits to what events it will cover until the day of the broadcast.

It always helps to call and email C-SPAN and request they broadcast an event:

Call C-SPAN @(765) 464-3080
Email: events@c-span.org

If it will be shown on C-SPAN, we will post that information at AlGoreDemocrats.com. We will also post a transcript of the speech as soon as it becomes available.

5. oh, he's just
a sore winner. and he has every right to be!!!

I wonder why? :)

I guess Al would know about and not be very happy about the institutionalized dishonesty since that's how Bush got into power in the first place.

The sentance in question:

He will charge that Bush and Cheney have "institutionalized dishonesty as an essential element of their policy process."

11. Good for Al Gore. About damn time somebody just came out and...
Called those liars, liars. They ate too, and the whole world knows it. They will want an apology, of course...the truth about themselves will hurt their feelings. Sniff.

13. Outstanding, Mr President
Apparently Mr Gore, having performed meakly in 2000, has finally gotten it. The Dem base wants a fighter. We are tired of being pushed around by crooks and liars. Mr Gore is shoring up the base by actually fighting back (this time). But where are the rest of the Dem "leaders?"

I haven't even heard ONE of them call Bush a liar for claiming global warming is "just one of many theories." How far does Bush have to go before everyone on our side decides for fight???

Side point: Unlike Gore, Kerry is still talking about BS issues that no one cares about at present - and not gaining one damn new vote. He is at risk of becoming the favorite butt of late night comics.
