$5.3m guard to keep Bush safe
THOUSANDS of troops and police were deployed in a tiny corner of Ireland yesterday as George Bush flew in for a summit described as a "waste of time".

More than a third of Ireland's security forces took up positions amid mounting outrage at the scale of the unprecedented measures taken to ensure the US President's security.

As well as the 6000 police and soldiers, 700 US secret agents and four naval ships were on duty for his 18-hour trip to Dromoland Castle in County Clare.

The operation is costing more than $5.3 million, military sources said yesterday, with the bill being picked up by the Irish taxpayer.

16. The Irish should bill...
Bush/Cheney Inc. Campaign for the 5.3 million to protect the shithead. The Americans are starting to NOT want him either.

I bet by the time * is booted, he will be the first President to be denied SS protection.

(And thank $DIETY Clinton is the last President to have lifetime SS protection. The rest of the prez gets only 10 years)

3. And the reason it was a 'waste of time'? Because bush* was there.
Nothing positive can come of anything he's associated with. Summitt meetings are where countries can generally talk out their problems and try to find a solution. But since the biggest problem is bush*, and he thinks his shit doesn't stink, there's no solution possible.

10. not to mention....
what the bill will be for NYC after the GOPher invasion is done here...just heard on the local news about what streets will be closed (loosing money to local business), the new construction being done so GOPhers don't have to soil their shoes by - egads! - crossing a NYC street, not to mention all the added overtime for the emergency services.....

.....so glad congress voted down the funds to help make NYC a little safer, sending it instead to rural Wyomonig where the threat of terrorism is apparently much greater.....

(sorry for the rant....)

14. RTE last night reported 10 million plus euros for Co. Clare security . . .
which equates to around 6,600 euros per protester and appx. $12,000,000 U.S. I don't have a link for this info, and the Ahern gov't release the figures until sometime next week at the earliest . . .

5. I'm sure the Irish and Turkish govs have enough sense to rebill.
I'm sure it's conditional. Otherwise, they would never host this turd. And it's double billed on top of that.

Call it "A waste of Money" or "money down the toilet". Use good toilet flushing music.
