Clinton, Kennedy to Speak at Convention
WASHINGTON - Former President Clinton (news - web sites) and Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts will have prime speaking slots at the Democratic National Convention in Boston next month.

Key speakers at the Republican convention in late August and early September in New York City will include California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (news - web sites) and Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

Clinton is scheduled to speak July 26, the opening night of the four-day convention, and Kennedy will address the audience the second day, Democratic officials said Monday. The vice presidential pick will speak July 28, and presumed Democratic nominee John Kerry (news - web sites) will close the convention July 29 with his acceptance speech.

Kerry's former rivals plus Rep. Dennis Kucinich (news - web sites) of Ohio and Al Sharpton (news - web sites), who remain in the primary race, will have a role at the convention, although officials haven't decided what that will be.

2. I wonder if Gore will have a role
or if he will be snubbed by the party again. I don't see how they can give some of the former candidates a speech without offending the supporters of those who don't speak (unless the speaker is the VP pick, of course).

3. Meanwhile, at the Repug convention
Wednesday night is shaping up as "hate night" with Dick "Go Fuck Youreself" Cheney, his douchebag wife Lynn and turncoat coward Zell Miller on the bill.

Will they hand out commerative swastika arm bands at the door like "bat night" at a minor league baseball game?

You know...the guy that put the spine back into the Democratic Party?

If he gets shit, I'm protesting the convention.

6. Will you physically go there to protest?
Or do you mean figuratively protest?

9. LOL!
Actually, it's somewhat more dignified than that. ;-)

They'll be available in special rooms to help provide trauma counseling for liberals who are thinking of voting for Kerry. ;-)

12. Or perhaps they'll be placed behind a wall of glass, with a sign
that reads:

"Liberalus extinctus almostus. Please don't feed the liberals! (by voting for them)"
