Clinton Sells Nearly 1 Million Books
WASHINGTON -- Former President Clinton's memoirs have sold nearly 1 million copies in less than a week, his publisher said Monday.

Publisher Alfred A. Knopf said 935,000 copies of "My Life" had been sold by the end of Sunday, and the million mark should be reached soon.

"It's a certainty, we just don't know what day it will be," said Knopf executive director of publicity Paul Bogaards. "It could be today, it could be tomorrow."

5. We're number one
The number one book in America - Bill Clinton's "My Life".

The number one movie in America - Michael Moore's "Farenheit 911".

If some liberal democrat put out a Bush protest song it would probably be number one too.

The people of America seem to be waking up to the facts. This president is a miserable failure and his policies and war are dragging this country down. Bush is in trouble and the republicans know it. The talk shows are trying in vain to turn back the tide but their arguments and outrage rings more hollow every day.

The Twisted Sister song comes to mind, "We're not gonna take it anymore". Maybe that could become our new anthem.

6. I hate to disappoint you, but Twisted Sister
was Schwartzeneneneneger's theme song. They even played on the same stage as him. I was appauled. That was a new twist to "up is down" for me to experience.

Oh well.

10. Asked and answered: Beastie Boys "To the Five Boroughs" debuts at #1
Edited on Mon Jun-28-04 06:54 PM by jdjkkse
This album has gotten alot of press for it's anti-Bush lyrics. I'll post some if I can find them, but just wanted to let it be known it's hitting music too.

snip:

With their first album in six years, the Beastie Boys proved they can still get bodies movin' in record stores by knowing just whatcha want. The three MCs and one DJ's latest album, To the 5 Boroughs, will take the #1 position on next week's Billboard albums chart.
MCA, Mike D, Ad-Rock and Mix Master Mike sold more than 360,000 copies of Boroughs, according to SoundScan, to put shame in the game of the next-highest-charting debut, Celine Dion's New Day: Live in Las Vegas, which will come in at #10 with more than 57,000 copies sold.
The Boys' one-week total doesn't much compare with the opening week of their last album, 1998's Hello Nasty, which moved more than 681,000 copies in its first few days on sale to also debut at #1. The album before, 1994's Ill Communication, also bowed in at the top, but did so with just 220,000 copies.

11. I thought about that Clinton book/F9-11 thing too
How can anyone in the mainstream media still think they backed the right horse in Bush? How can they NOT see that they are out of step with the people of this country, who delivered, in less than a week, crushing blows to the notion that Bush is a beloved leader.
And the people didn't just do it with their voice or their vote -- they put their money down to pay for the book and the movie.

8. Is there a hunger and thirst out there for things liberal and Dem?
Years of nothing but conservative lies on the radio and TV have left a great hunger for some real liberal media. Clinton's Book and F9/11 making millions for their owners.

14. Getting blow job much better than getting blown up!
I think maybe are ridiculously Puritanical country is coming to realize a little something about moral relativism. Yeah marital infidelity is immoral in a sense, but at least thousands of people aren't going to die over it.
