Two explosions have struck the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad injuring 27 people, eight seriously, officials say.
"There was one bomb explosion at the Chapliyar bus station and the second at a police post," deputy police chief Abdul Rehman told the AFP news agency.
Separately, 12 people were abducted in an attack on a convoy carrying food to US forces near Kandahar.
Violence has increased in Afghanistan in recent months with Islamic militants vowing to disrupt September elections.
