29. Retreads for retards...
sounds like a real winning strategy! Maybe they could use it as a campaign slogan or something... certainly would be apropos.

4. How many economic advisers does he need? All PR hype!
This is just a phoney way of getting a plug from his friends and making it sound like muscle-brain actually has some substance.

5. What's with all the heavy weights? Can't Auunold do the heavy lifting?
Obviously they need to give Auuunold his own cabinet of puppeteers if he plans to be the Dubya of the Left Coast. Makes him look important and loaded for bear.

11. Proven methodology
It worked for the present simian occupant of the White House. I remember during the 2000 campaign remarking to our corporate attorney how lame Dubya was as a candidate and she replied, "Yes, but he has surrounded himself with GOOD people so I'm not worried." This was when he was announcing Colin Powell would be his Sec of State, Cheney as VP, etc. What a team it turned out to be, eh?

Ah-nold may be just following the playbook.

"SSSSCCCCCHHHHHUUUUUUUUUULLLLLTTTTZZZZ!!!!!!"

9. Well, at least no one can accuse repubs of not recycling...
For some reason, I'm getting the feeling like I didn't fully engage in the political nightmare of the '80s during my adolescence, and as punishment I have to watch a farking rerun. Still waiting for some new, improved names to emerge from the pack...

They're surrounding him with "experienced" advisors in case anyone questions Arnie's own lack of governing experience. Gee, sounds like someone we all know and love, doesn't it?

They're jackals surrounding and feasting on Davis before he's even dead. Why not hoist Saint Ronnie out of his hospital bed and put him on the staff, too.

23. Mmmmm
I'm not sure how many Republican Govenors California has had in the past but it strikes me that there is something more to this than just Schwarzenegger becoming Govenor of California. I have got the impression that California is THE Democratic stronghold, if the Republican Party can wander in there and take it then it does not bode well for the rest of the country.

The Repubs appear to be pulling out all the stops, the Democratic Party needs to react accordingly.

24. Arnie the opportunist, trying to please everyone...
I don't think he has a single ounce of political courage. He'll be totally malleable. On the good side, if he squeaks in, Democrats will still rule the state.

30. Counting the minutes . . .
. . . until James Baker shows up, with Henry Kissinger in tow.

Maybe they can get the mummified corpse of Jeremy Bentham and set it in the governor's conference room in Sacramento.
