1. Oh this is great...
Faux News Network will come out fighting, rightfully so. They wanted it to just go away. Look for a spin...

4. Here's something I had recently posted on another thread:
(The below probably came from a DU thread)

Since Fox News is unable to rebut the basic premise of "Outfoxed," its anchors have resorted to slamming the film's technique. Fox News' convention correspondent Carl Cameron, who is portrayed in the movie sucking up to then-Governor Bush before an interview, complained "It was an unfortunate piece of editing in the movie that gave a far worse impression than the reality."

To counter this charge, director Robert Greenwald has released the entire footage of Cameron's pre-interview moments with Bush, when he didn't realize the tape was rolling. The full clip makes Cameron look even worse. He spends a full three minutes fawning over Bush. See this outrageous footage here:

The DVD is availble for $10 a copy (http://www.outfoxed.org/)

15. Wow, thanks for the link...
I hope this documentary takes off and gets a lot of press coverage, like F911. You can rent it at Netflix.com and I think video stores, but donating to them is always best.

3. I really hope it gets more eyeballs
If only because I did not know as much about the depth of the problem, this movie hit me harder than F9/11. If you have not seen it, see it!

I downloaded it from emule just because there is little chance of distro in my neck of the woods. (It took about two days--800+ mb! I have fiber so b/w was not a problem. Just emule is slow BUT very very reliable.)

If it does make it to the big screen where I live, I certainly will shell out the cash to show support!

19. thanks for the tip!
I haven't been able to find it on Kazaa, and wasn't using any other file-sharing services (hadn't even heard of eMule). Thanks to your post, I downloaded and installed eMule today, and am in the process of downloading Outfoxed while four users upload my copy of Fahrenheit 911.

20. eMule is the best
NO spyware and made by geeks for geeks, just like the Internet itself. On downloading Outfoxed, you should first check post #4. I did not know it was available on DVD for only ten bucks.

5. Next somebody needs to expose CNN
In fact I hope that Faux retaliates by pointing out how biased CNN's coverage has become. I hope that all the news outlets get a lot of scrutiny.

6. They retaliate, all right
The code of secrecy and system of coercion at Faux are shocking. The interviews with former employees (some of whom do not even want their identities known for fear of incurring the wrath of FOX) are just unbelievable.

16. The thing that is scary about all of this...
besides the right-wing slant, which is frightening in itself, is the laziness and complacency Faux News seems to be spreading among the other news agencies. I mean not one of the networks probed into the Iraq/Al Qaeda connection. They just accepted it.

7. This movie is available via Bittorrent as well
but I am reluctant to post a link since I support paying for this movie, both the DVD and in theatres. I suppose those of you that know what BT is know where to find it eh?

9. Great news.
The only theater here in town that would show F-9/11 should get a copy. I'm sure it would be a big hit.

Sending email...now!

10. Our Peace Group bought a copy
Edited on Mon Aug-02-04 06:30 AM by hippywife
and reserved the auditorium at our main library (seats 200) last week for a screening that was free and open to the public. Our local NPR affiliate advertised it as a PSA and we got the announcement in our local paper. The response was unbelievable! Not only were all the seats full, there were people sitting on the floor and standing along the walls in every empty spot available. We had to turn away another 30 or so people. We've reserved the auditorium again for a second screening.

http://www.outfoxed.org/

We are also getting ready to have screenings of "Orwell Rolls in His Grave"
http://www.orwellrollsinhisgrave.com/home.htm

So it can be done without waiting for theatres to come up with it.

13. Now we know why CNN has taken FUAX's place as being the
voice for the White House, 'eh?

The Fox was baited and trapped, and now junior can't watch it get skinned. Hum it CNN, hum it!

18. I sure hope it plays the Fox Theatre in Portland!
That would be beautiful. And not out of the question. The Fox Theatre has nothing to do with Rupert and Company, and it's where "Bowling For Columbine," "Fahrenheit 9/11," "The Fog of War," "Supersize Me" and "Control Room" have gotten very extended play in Portland, so it's actually quite likely!
