Taliban, Al Queada on the Attack
http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/nation/9298802.htm

Had to register for the link, but I did not see this posted anywhere. Gee, wasn't * just on talking about how wonderful things were in Afghanistan. Looks like we "cheneyed" up when we went into Iraq and left Afghanistan to fester. How much more incompetence is it going to take to wake up the Amurikan people?

"The Taliban and al Qaeda have regrouped in Afghanistan, putting U.S. soldiers and foreign aid workers at greater risk.

Knight Ridder News Service

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - A violent resurgence of Taliban and al Qaeda fighters in Afghanistan is putting U.S. soldiers and international aid workers at increasing risk, especially in the southern part of the country, the birthplace of the Taliban."

"Nearly three years after the U.S. military toppled the Taliban government in Afghanistan, it is increasingly clear that the military effort has failed to fully defeat the enemy, which has regrouped and now threatens efforts to create a stable government.

Election workers are being abducted, shot and beheaded. Voter registration sites are being bombed, even when they're located at mosques. And now the Taliban has begun delivering ominous ''night letters'' -- notes slipped to local officials warning them not to help with upcoming elections."

- I wonder what the American Taliban have in store for our voter registration sites and our elections. Oh well, We are SO MUCH SAFER!

4. The reason why they may be incompatible is that they wouldn't choose
whatever stooge the U.S. wants them to choose.

5. Wonder if those "night letters"
are like the Anthrax letters sent only to Democrats.

I've said it before, but I am sick of having an appocaliptic president looking out for our future. What the Cheney does he care about the future when he's just going to be raptured away soon?

2. All dumbass could talk about (when asked about DRs without borders
pulling out of afghstn, and asked to comment on the lack of security over there) was that people were registering to vote over there (probably registering to vote over HERE, if the GOP has its way) and how great that was. Then he's so stupid he underscores the reporters point by saying how "they" just killed a bunch of women on a bus for registering to vote. But wasn't it great? They want their freedom.

Wha????? That guy is a moron who can't even get his talking points straight.
