Three GOP officials arrested in election office shoving
http://www.wate.com/Global/story.asp?S=2121131

snip...

Benton (AP) -- Polk County Sheriff's officers have arrested two county election commissioners and the county Republican Party chairman in a ballot box scuffle.

Election Registrar Sula Jenkins says commissioners Bill Frady and Steve Gaddis "manhandled" her. Jenkins is a Democrat, Frady and Gaddis are Republicans.

The registrar says the commissioners wrested a ballot box from her grasp Saturday as early voting ended for the state primaries and snapped an extra padlock on it.

30. You know how the Repukes always vote in the Democratic primaries.
They just wanted to make sure that all of their illegitimate votes were counted. They are nasty evil.

I assume we can expect more of this behavior on a grander scale in the Presidential election!

20. I'm STILL pissed about that Palm Beach 'riot'!!
That was, I'm certain, a crime. I love how the media really didn't report who those pasty pigs were, and how they were imported for the job. DOn't forget.. those weenies ALSO got HUGE pay bonuses (our tax dollars) once Bush "took" office. They ought to be in jail.

Remember sElection2000?

Bush campaign uses mob tactics in Florida

By Tim Wheeler

These demonstrations "were clearly designed to intimidate and to prevent a simple recount from going forward," Lieberman charged. "This is a time to honor the rule of law, not surrender to the rule of the mob."

The incident was broadcast live on C-Span and other television networks. A gang of young thugs were shown pounding on the doors and windows of a room where the canvassing board had begun a recount. They chanted "Fraud" and "The fix is in!"

In the hallway, the Republican mob surrounded Joe Geller, chair of the Miami-Dade County Democratic Party, screaming accusations that he was attempting to "steal" a ballot. Several Sheriff’s deputies arrived and the mob demanded they "cuff" Geller.

Finally, the deputies and Geller raced down a hallway pursued by the thugs, who knocked over and trampled two television news cameramen. Geller had a sample ballot in his pocket.

9. Ho ho ho, Polk county is right next to Orange County FL...
...were Orlando is located. This may be sign of things to come. These republicans can really show their might, especially where girls are concerned. They must have just come back from the state's RNC/Jeb Bush republican militia boot camp on how to control this coming election. Let's begin distributing the Brown shirts and jack boots, this is going to be a rough ride.

these guys stand a chance of being convicted. After all, some judges have to run for reelection too. Glad to see the cuts to law enforcement budgets haven't gone unnoticed.

Ogle asked to quit

By Shea Andersen
Tribune Reporter

After discussions apparently went nowhere, the New Mexico Republican Party has asked Rep. Rory Ogle to resign.

The Albuquerque Republican was arrested July 17 on domestic violence charges. He was charged with, among other things, throwing a headboard at his wife, Anita.

After the news, Republican Party officials went into discussions with Ogle about his future as a New Mexico lawmaker.

Rory Ogle

WORDS TO LIVE BY: (from the article)
Weh said his call for Ogle to get out of public service was in keeping with his party's obligation to "ensure that Republican officials and candidates meet the high standards of personal conduct we expect of all those who seek public office."
(snip/...)
Oh, Yeah! High standards among Republican officials can't get much higher, can they?
