US company Altera Corporation is to create up to 60 new jobs at Cork Airport Business Park.

The company is setting up its European Shared Services Centre at the park. The project is supported by IDA Ireland.

Altera makes programmable logic devices, which is one of the fastest growing sectors of the semiconductor industry.

The company is establishing the centre in Cork to centralise a number of key functions at one location in order to achieve greater efficiencies.
