N.M. GOP to Keep Screening for Bush Events
RIO RANCHO, N.M (AP)

Republicans in New Mexico say they will keep asking some people who want to attend Bush-Cheney campaign events to sign an endorsement pledge before receiving tickets.

"If we feel our event will get disrupted again, we will use the same method to make sure it's a positive event," Republican Party spokesman Yier Shi said Thursday, defining positive as "without interuption, without debate — just (without) disruption, period." ..

.. I think that every American should have the right to see their vice president and hear from him firsthand what he plans to do for our country," Pulido said.

Hunter said the Bush-Cheney campaign's action with its tickets "is rather hypocritical coming from a group that just this month sent representatives to a Kerry-Edwards rally here in Albuquerque. Kerry asked that his supporters be tolerant of the dissenters." ..

1. Dumbasses.
First you're supposed to give them the sales pitch, THEN you close the deal. Not the other way around.

2. If ANY part of his appearance was paid for by the taxpayers...
...they have no right to deny admittance or 'require' support from anyone.

Not that that ever matters to these shitlogs.

6. Security costs like police overtime etc....
should be paid for by the campaign if it is a private event. Somebody brought that up earlier today. We sure could use that money back here in Oregon. I will e-mail mayor Catts. She is a butt kicker!!

5. Kerry needs to use this
He needs to beat Bush over the head with this during the debates. He needs to clearly show how he let's even protestors in to his events because he's not afraid. I think this could be a winner with the swing vote.
